What are the Terms & Conditions for use of the Cicada Engine Shop?

The Cicada Engine Shop (Engine Shop) is located on the ground floor (suite G07/7) of the Cicada Innovations, National Innovation Centre building, located at 4 Cornwallis St, Eveleigh, 2015 NSW.

The Engine Shop is a facility provided for members of the Cicada Innovations’ resident community. It is provided as a community workshop to support resident startup businesses. Access is provided following the completion of all necessary induction and training, including any update sessions and agreeing to abide by these terms and conditions.

Use of the Engine Shop should be in the spirit of a community facility. All users of the facility should do their utmost to ensure the equipment is properly looked after, always returned to its proper storage location and the space is kept orderly and neat. Any breakages should be reported to Cicada Innovations at the main reception desk or by using the email reception@cicadainnovations.com

Where possible and appropriate, support should be provided to other Engine Shop users.

Access to the Engine Shop is a privilege, not a right for Cicada residents and Cicada Innovations reserves the right to remove and/or restrict access to any member of the community. Access to the Engine Shop can be refused by Cicada Innovations for any reason, without notice.

The primary purpose of the Engine Shop is the development of prototypes for startup businesses located at Cicada Innovations. The facility may also be used for the testing of components or finished products in early manufacturing products. Under no account should the Engine Shop facilities be used as a production facility for commercially sold products.

All users of the Engine Shop do so at their own risk and must take every precaution to ensure the safety of themselves and other users.
