What equipment is available in the engine shop?

The below equipment is available for residents to use within the Engine Shop:

  • 3D Printers – Machines that create three-dimensional objects by layering material based on digital models, commonly used for prototyping and manufacturing.

  • Soldering Stations – Workstations equipped with tools for joining electronic components using solder.

  • Hot Air Rework Station – A device that blows hot air for soldering and desoldering surface-mounted components, ideal for electronics repair.

  • Tri-Focal Microscope with Camera – A microscope with three viewing paths and an attached camera for detailed inspection and documentation of small components.

  • Power Supply – A device that provides controlled voltage and current to power electronics projects and experiments.

  • Small, Medium, and Large CNC Mill – Computer-controlled machines of varying sizes used to precisely cut, drill, and shape materials like metal or plastic.
