NO – jewellery, gloves (unless PPE), ties, loose long sleeves, loose long hair, un-tucked shirts.

Anyone under the influence of drugs or alcohol is prohibited from entering the Engine Shop.

Exposure to the laser beam may cause physical burns and can cause severe eye damage.

Some materials can produce toxic and or corrosive fumes when cutting or engraving. Always consult the particular materials and check with the Cicada Innovations team.

If fumes are present while cutting or engraving immediately contact the Cicada Innovations.

No materials or tools are to be left on the viewing window of the laser cutter.

Always turn the exhaust filter on before the job has commenced and only turn off after the job is complete.

Never operate the laser cutter without supervision of the cutting or engraving process in case of fire.

If the material ignites, immediately turn off the laser cutter and extraction and extinguish fire with CO2 fire extinguisher (only if fire does not self extinguish and it is safe to do so).

Never leave any materials in the laser cutter after the laser process has finished, no matter how small.

A cutting or engraving failure may be due to dirty laser lenses, immediately report this to Cicada Innovations to arrange cleaning.

If you require a ‘quick stop’ or ‘abort’ of a job, press the red button on the right to complete a safety stop of the machine.
