Getting you settled into Cicada's building, facilities, and community.
We want to make your start working from Cicada as smooth as possible for you and your team. This is our onboarding process we like to do with all new companies, teams, and employees.
1. First Week
- You should receive an Access Card for your companies suite. If you don't, please complete this form
- Join the Cicada Slack channel and introduce yourself to the rest of the community
- Book yourself in for a Building Induction Tour with Cristina and Mat from Community team
- You should receive an invite to join Robin, our online meeting room booking platform. If you haven't let mathew@cicadainnovations.com know and he'll set you up
2. Shared facilities at Cicada
- 4 x shared meeting rooms - book via Robin
- 1 x Community Boardroom - contact mathew@cicadainnovations.com
- Seminar room
- Shared kitchens in each annex of the building
- Communal Atrium Space to have lunch, meetings, work from
- Prototyping Lab (Engine Shop)
- Reception & concierge support including mail handling and welcoming guests
3. Get to know your surroundings
- Familiarise yourself with South Eveleigh and the local area, we recommend you check out
- Seventhwave for a coffee
- Romeo's IGA for office snacks and supplies
- You are spoilt for choice with lunch options, if you want takeaway options we suggest

- Come and say hello to the Cicada team, you'll find Mathew on reception and the rest of the team in Suite 145 on Level 1
4. Community events
Cicada hosts a range of community events for residents and the broader community, make sure you come along to them. Regular events include:
- C-suite Lunch [monthly] - for the founders, CEOs, and leadership team
- Women's Lunch [monthly] - to create greater connectivity between women at Cicada
- Hardware Lunch [bi-monthly] - for engineers, technicians, product teams, led by Hebbat our Head of Technology
- Space Lunch [monthly] - for residents of the National Space Industry Hub
- Cicada Mix [bi-monthly] - for all residents to get together and mingle
